MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN: Is the Hand Writing on the Wall for the West?

Scriptures:  Psalm 64v5-7 (secret elite) Daniel 4 and 5; Genesis 1v26-28;

CONTEXT: Judah was taken into Babylonian Captivity from 586BC because of their idolatry and rebellion against the Creator God. In chapter 4v24-25 in the book of Daniel, he interprets Nebuchadnezzar’s dream-

• God decreed that Nebuchadnezzar would become INSANE and live amongst the beasts of the field.

This was a very serious warning from God to the king of Babylon.

Daniel 4v29-30 ‘Twelve months later he was walking on his balcony or the upper level of the royal palace of Babylon’

4v30 is what I want to focus on here.

KEY POINT: He had been warned of God’s judgment but JUST 12 MONTHS LATER, HE HAD FORGOTTEN THE WORD OF GOD.

In his arrogance and pride, he takes all the glory for himself.

So, during a 7-year period, Nebuchadnezzar lived like an animal and was insane because HE LOST HIS HUMANITY- Does that remind you of Western politicians at all?

This was God’s Judgment. Although in his animal-like state, he was to learn more about God than he ever did before.THIS APPLIES TO 21st Century Western Culture-right now in 2024….with one CRUCIAL exception….Western ‘Leaders’ are drowning in their own Arrogance, Pride and Insanity and refuse to be humbled and learn about who God really is.

Historically, God gave Western culture His Word: But the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ is foolishness to the natural mind of human beings (1 Corinthians 1v18-19) ‘He who has seen Me has seen the Father’….said Jesus in John’s Gospel chapter 14v9. But Western leaders have forgotten God and worship their own gods as they stand on the balcony of the modern day Babylon….not even aware that they are under God’s judgment and have been given over to insanity…..aka ‘The Military Industrial Complex. War and Corporate Big Business worships at the altar of the ‘god of Mammon’ who demands the sacrifice of innumerable human beings….for oil and money and power.

Those who worships idols become like them as Psalm 115v8 tells us.

Why do you think the West treats the Palestinians as subhuman? Because like Nebuchadnezzar Western leaders have become just like animals, insane animals, in $5000 dollar suits looking sophisticated and ‘civilised’….note the grotesque irony of the Israeli defence minister referring to the people of Gaza as ‘human animals’….most of the world knows now who the real animals are.

The ideologies of our day, in particular: Scientism/Technology/Secular Humanism/Globalism also stand on the balcony of Babylonian Neo-Paganism of Western culture today and are of the exact same disposition as Nebuchadnezzar- they have forgotten and rejected God, and take all the glory for themselves.

Romans 1v28-29 specify the characteristics of a depraved mind which is the final 'giving over' wrath of abandonment from God on the deep rebellion of 'exchanging the truth of God for the lie'.

Moreover, Romans 1v25 ‘They Exchanged the truth of God for the lie and worshipped the creature rather than the Creator’ means there is nothing Neutral in all Creation-you either worship the Creator God or you worship and serve the creature or something from within creation. Culture means Worship from the Latin (Cultus) or Religion Externalised.

Daniel chapter 5- The Handwriting on the Wall

Belshazzar was the son of Nebuchadnezzar and he DID NOT LEARN FROM HIS FATHER’S EXPERIENCE of the judgment of God, by being given over to insanity and having the mind of an animal. Just like Western leaders today who have not learned at all from history, nor have they honoured the one true and Living God, the Sovereign Creator and Redeemer of all creation, the LORD Jesus Christ, the King of Glory and Grace.

To show how utterly arrogant he was (like Boris Johnson throwing a party during Lockdown) he gave a great feast for a thousand of his nobles. He gave a command to bring the gold and silver vessels which his father had taken out of the Temple in Jerusalem. A thousand of his nobles and this arrogant foolish ‘king’ drank wine and ‘praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone’.

……SUDDENLY…the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and began writing on wall opposite….’Then the king’s face grew pale and his thoughts alarmed him; the joints and muscles of his hips and back weakened and his knees began knocking together. He called for his ‘wise men, the enchanters, to interpret the writing, but they could not interpret it.

So Daniel was called forth to interpret and this was the interpretation:

MENE- God has numbered the days of your kingdom and put an end to it

TEKEL- You have been weighed on the scales (of righteousness) and found deficient

PERES (UPHARSIN) Your kingdom has been divided and GIVEN OVER to the Medes and Persians.

The Babylonian empire was given over to the Persian empire > 

The Persian empire was given over to the Greek empire >

The Greek Empire was given over to the Roman empire just as Daniel 2 predicted.

The Roman empire was Divided into two- East and West.

· Eventually Western culture emerged out of the Greco-Roman Pagan empire

• Out of Western Culture > Emerged the British Empire- Eventually the British Empire brought an end to the Ottoman Empire.

• The British Empire > Gave birth to powerful Secret Societies under a man called Cecil Rhodes who founded Chatham House- a Globalist think tank in London.

• Secret Societies of the British Empire was based on Racial supremacy which is always the characteristic of Empires > They want DOMINION over the whole world based on their deluded supremacy.

• Finally the American Empire or more accurately the Anglo-American-Zionist empire

• The British Empire and the Rothschilds wanted Palestine- Empires fill the earth with violence, genocide, ethnic cleansing, mass murder. Jesus said that Satan steals, kills and destroys, he was a murderer and a liar from the beginning.

• Who does that remind you of ?

Belshazzar the deluded, arrogant, proud, moronic son of Nebuchadnezzar despite being drunk, still managed to see the Handwriting on the Wall and God judged him and he died shortly after. Western ‘leaders’ tragically do not observe the Hand Writing on the Wall….

But the same interpretation applies.
